We offer 3 distinctly different worship services here at First Lutheran. Click here to check them out! Here are some thoughts about worship life here at FLC.
- WORSHIP All of our services, in their different approaches, combines grace-oriented theology rooted in liturgy and tradition that spans back over 500 years and in some cases thousands of years ago. Our worship is centered on hearing God's Word and receiving God's sacrament.
- KIDS IN WORSHIP? As a faith community we value all of God's children. Young or old, crying included! As God's family gathered together, we understand that it isn't quiet. In fact we are concerned when our worship space is silent! A nursery is available though for those who need a place to get the big squiggles out. But children are encouraged to keep their parents in worship.
- WHAT TO WEAR? Dress however is comfortable for you – heels or tennis shoes, cashmere or jeans. We care about your spirit, not your appearance.
- WHAT IS COMMUNION? Holy Communion is offered weekly at all of our services. As we share the bread and wine, we believe that Christ is truly present in the sacrament and among us. We welcome all baptized persons to join us in receiving Communion. Most of the time we use homemade gluten free bread. And grape juice is available for those who prefer.
- SUNDAY SCHOOL Adult Bible Study takes place in the Dining Hall with Pastor Ron (and coffee). Children's classes take place following Sunday worship at 10:15am.
