TELEPHONE PRAYER CHAIN

In 1988 members of our church began a ministry of the Telephone Prayer Chain. Through the Years if became an important way for people in the congregation to support our fellow Christians with prayer and understanding.  Over time, there have been major changes in our methods of addition we are now a very diverse and mobile society.  Due to these changes, it has become difficult to continue with the Prayer Chain Ministry as it is.

Beginning in September of this year, we will no longer be in operation.  We are so thankful to all who have been a part of the wonderful ministry.  In the midst of a busy life, you have stopped what you doing, to pray for those who are in urgent need of prayers.

IF YOU ARE A PRAYER WARRIOR

Let explain a little about the task of being a Prayer Warrior.  You do not need special skills or training to be one.  Prayer is the same as having a conversation with God.  Many of you began doing this as children when you were taught to say your bedtime prayers.

Your main task as a Prayer Warrior, is to “lift up” those who are struggling with a personal concern or crisis in their life, and petition God to help them through whatever it is. Those who have submitted prayer requests in the past, have said they have been Able to “feel” the presence of the love and caring from their fellow Christians.

When a prayer request is made, the Prayer warriors will be notified by E-mail, and they will be Asked to pray for them in earnest.  These prayer requests will be confidential, to you cannot discuss this with others.  You may or may not be given a name of the person, that is up to the person making the request.  The most important thing is they need YOUR Prayers and know you will be there for them.

Please consider joining us. The more people that are praying, the more God will hear us. If you wish to sign on, please contact Ron Or Jan Barrett at 715-637-1670 or E-mail bar_73@hotmail.com

IF YOU WISH TO MAKE A PRAYER REQUEST

Remove a request card from the box and write your prayer
carefully so that it is easy to read. It will be helpful if
we have a little detail about the prayer. If you wish, you
may use names, but it is not necessary. You choose how
mush information you want to share. When you are finished,
pin your request on the bulletin board or put it in the
provided envelope. You may sign your name if you want to.

Note:  Our Prayer Warriors have been asked to keep the
requests confidential.

SAMPLE REQUEST

surgery on Tuesday. Pray for a successful
