​The Facilities and Future Committee partnered with Miron Construction to evaluate our existing facility and, keeping our mission in mind, provided recommendations for our future.
The facilities committee along with church council are working
​on the next steps ​of designing our future church building.

Operational spaces impacting God's mission and future vision

The Facilities and Future Committee categorized the results from the three Congregational meetings previously held. What we have discovered is that the main focus areas of this congregation are:
  • Design main entrance to be accessible and welcoming
  • The entire building should be on ground level
  • Improvement to existing bathrooms/addition of new bathrooms
  • Creation of a youth space
  • Creation of greater fellowship space
  • Improved energy efficiency
Based on the focus of the church mission and for ease of future visioning, we have broken the focus areas into five categories. It was concluded that this is the foundation that First Lutheran needs to focus on to continue to carry out God's mission and continue to grow and thrive as a church of the future.

As we recollect that this is God's Church and God's Mission, the Operational Spaces of First Lutheran impacting God's Mission and Future Vision are: 
  • Functional Space for Worship
  • ​Functional Space for Fellowship
  • Functional Space for Youth
  • Functional Space for Administration
  • Overall needs for All Spaces
